Get Mural Inspired!

Muralism, a popular painting method used by numerous artists, including artists like Michelangelo Buonarroti and Leonardo Da Vinci, reached its height of popularity in the 1920s, following the Mexican Revolution. Oil painting on canvas became popular in 16th-century Europe as an easier technique for creating murals. The benefit was that the work could be finished in the studio and then moved to the location where it would be hung on a wall or ceiling.

Step 1

Draw the outline of the subject using a soft Pencil.

Step 2

Apply light yellow acrylic paint as a first layer . Once the color gets dried,apply orange paint over it. Make sure that while applying orange , we need to show the transition of yellow to orange shade in order to show the lighting. You may follow the given picture for reference.

Step 3

From top to bottom,this process continues and apply second coat when its dried.

Step 4

Give detailing for the ornaments with green and white color.

Step 5

Fill the background with yellow ,orange and red. Show the transition of these colors.

Finish the painting with applying 2 coats of varnish and the masterpiece is ready !
